Amazon.com Review While there are a number of rotary tools on the market made by a host of different manufacturers, the Dremel Moto Tool is the one they all strive to copy. Dremel's MultiPro variable-speed model is great for a huge range of projects, from home improvement tasks to hobbies and crafting. It has a continuously adjustable speed range from 5,000 to 35,000 rpm, which allows the user to effectively work with materials as soft as balsa wood and as hard as ceramics. The flexible shaft that comes with this model is great for working in tight spots many rotary tools can't touch. The kit also comes with an assortment of accessories and a handy carrying case. Others may copy it, but Dremel has been making rotary tools so long they've come close to perfecting the idea. --Brian Trinen

A good deal. A good product. July 16, 2008 The title of this review says it all. This is a good tool for small projects and precision work. And I couldn't be happier with the prompt delivery.
Great bundel April 10, 2008 My husband was very pleased with this dremel and all of its accessories... He has recommeded it to a couple of his buddys already.
I love my MultiPro March 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This tool have a nice range of applications, most of which I haven't had a chance to try yet. Available accessories (sold separately) include router bits, router table, and plunge attachment. I currently use my MultiPro for routing, and I look forward to trying engraving in the future, as well as other features.
Most of the accessories that come with the kit are for grinding and sanding. I would like to see a wider range of bits come with the MultiPro, because to the consumer making the initial purchase and reading the product description, it appears there would be more. That is my only complaint so far.
Although I know this is a very specific market niche, I would like to see a Dremel-sized jig for creating dovetail and box joints. I make wood boxes and found that available ready-made jigs are intended for the standard full-size routers. So I have learned to get by making the boxes without box joints...but box joints would give a more polished look.
Dremel Junk February 15, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
I recently purchased a new dremel series 400. My old black style dremel lasted for 7 years of abuse and finally wore out . During 2 minutes of light duty with the new 400 series dremel it started to smoke and get extremley hot! FIRE HAZARD?! Needless to say it diddnt work anymore. Thinking this a fluke I went to another hardware store and purchased a 300 series adjustable speed dremel. Guess what? SAME THING!!!!! I would highly not reccomend dremel tools because they obviously have gone to cheap components with this new generation. PASS IT ON!
dremel madness January 31, 2008 As a visual artist working in paper mache i have found this tool to be invaluable in my work. detail work or rough hack and slash, whether or not i am sculpting or fixing a piece there is a head suited for my purpose. I keep the precision i had with hand tools and gain speed. as far as carving gourds, except for rare occasions, i will never carve manually again. the dremel makes my work accident free, precise and speedy!
